Sag Lake Store is operated in conjunction with Superior-North Canoe Outfitters.  We have a complete line of fishing tackle and lures used in this area.  Live bait is also on hand.  We are happy to help you select the best baits for the route of your choice.  Our store also offers canoe and boat and motor rental, bait, tackle, gas, camping supplies, ice, groceries, snacks, pop, beer, fishing licenses and various other misc. items.  You may also browse the selection of gifts and souvenirs, including a large selection of clothing from infants to adults, candles, nic nacs, Jennings Wood Decoys, books & maps of the Boundary Waters and much more

"Headstart" Launch (Tow) Service On Saganaga Lake

Available at our dock. We operate our own tow boats that will carry passengers, gear and canoes. The boats are designed to carry your canoes on top with a special carrying rack. It will save you one day of paddling to all points on Saganaga Lake, Cache Bay (Quetico Park) or Northern Light Lake; two days on a round trip.

Boat and Motor Base Camping Packages 
Bring your rod, reel, tackle and clothes . . . we provide the rest! The Superior-North Boat and Motor package is an excellent way to get to know the BWCA wilderness if you are uncertain about fishing and traveling in a canoe. We are based on a lake with thousands of miles of shoreline.
Saganaga Lake, half in Minnesota, half in Canada, provides plenty of action for the fisherman.  Walleye, bass, trout and northern abound in our area. (The present Minnesota state record walleye, 17-1\2 lbs., was caught just 1\2 mile from our dock in 1979) You may also like to fish and camp on Northern Light Lake which is entirely in Canada and has some excellent fishing. With over 300 islands dotting its waters, Saganaga provides the seclusion of true wilderness. More record size walleye have come out of Saganaga Lake than any lake in Minnesota or Ontario.

We pack a special food supply with plenty of fresh foods for the hearty appetites. We know our area and will give you tips on where to fish and what tackle is best suited for the ones you're after. Wouldn't you like to do your fishing on a drinking-pure lake in the pristine wilderness of the BWCA?
Crown Land Camping permits are required for camping on the Canadian side of Saganaga or on Northern Light Lake. Canadian fishing licenses and camping permits are available on our lake.

Complete and generous food supply - steak, chops, bacon, eggs, fresh vegetables and fruit - packed on ice. Crisco, fish breading and all staple items. We pack our special menu for this package.
All camping equipment - Eureka nylon tents (extra large), Hollofill II sleeping bags, tent cots, cooking equipment and utensils, rain pancho, lightweight tarps, saw and rope. All equipment is packed in nylon pack sacks. Perishable food is packed in ice coolers and a lightweight aluminum food pack is supplied to avoid crushing. Foodpack also contains paper towels, toilet tissue, personal soap, dish soap and matches. We pack a lightweight aluminum griddle for parties of 4 or more.
